Bachelor Concept & Illustration First year project

This project is based on a universe that we have to create on our own. I choose to make a world mixed between nature and future.
In the Universe of Etheria, the ether is the source of energy used by humans. The ether is drawn from the living organisms of the forest (plants, creatures, mushrooms ...).The government, always desiring more power, eventually sequestered the spirit of the Forest in the heart of the city to obtain a non-tarryable source of energy (the "people" do not know it only the "big men" know it). This crime gave birth to a very particular infection. The Spirit of the Forest released an infecting poisonous ether anyone in contact with him. The disease slowly transforms the patient's body into ether plant. The forest which had lost consciousness became transformed into an infectious territory.
As the disease was contagious, the government decided to exile all infected people.
